How to dress up for your interview . . .

1. Women should avoid heavy makeup or use a perfume that may be too strong. 2. Most of us tend to look at the bigger picture in the mirror in front of us and ignore the small things like shoes and socks. Make sure you wear proper shoes and matching socks. Shoes should be business style shoes, neat and clean. 3. Ensure that your shoes are polished not only in the front but also in the back. Interviewers do look at you when you turn and walk out and you don’t want to leave the impression that you are not meticulous in your grooming habits. 4. Don’t wear fancy shoes that stand out on their own. They should blend in with your clothes. Wearing sports shoes with a business suit is not what is recommended. 5. While casual dressing may be the way to go today. Interviews are the one time you should ignore this advice and dress in a businesslike manner business suit. 6.
